CPH ST-1: A Unique and Masculine Men's Watch

A Danish-Designed Timepiece with Swiss Automatic Movement

The CPH ST-1 watch, designed by David Manniche, combines a passion for mechanical watches with Scandinavian minimalistic design. With its over-sized yet simplistic design, this watch is a statement piece that can be worn by any man. Made of stainless steel, it exudes masculinity and elegance.

The CPH ST-1 watch stands out with its unique and over-sized design. The watch case and parts are crafted from stainless steel, giving it a sturdy and sophisticated look. The elegant calf leather strap adds a touch of luxury to the overall design. The watch features sapphire glass on both the front and back, making it not only resistant but also revealing the Swiss automatic movement, the heart of the watch. One of the standout design features is the inner bezel, adorned with linear engravings, adding depth and character to the timepiece.

Each CPH ST-1 watch is meticulously crafted with attention to detail. The watch consists of several parts, manufactured according to the unique design and instructions. Afterward, each watch is assembled by hand and tested to ensure the highest quality. The Swiss automatic movement, produced by one of the top manufacturers, is the driving force behind the watch's precision and reliability.

Technical specifications of the CPH ST-1 include a 45 mm diameter watch case and a 22 mm leather strap. The watch case has a height of 10.6 mm. The Swiss automatic movement eliminates the need for a battery, as it is self-winding and uses motion to power the watch. The CPH ST-1 is available in two editions: the black edition with a black dial and strap, and the white edition with a white dial and light-brown strap.

The CPH ST-1 watch is not only a stylish accessory but also a functional timepiece. It features a "butterfly" clasp, making it easy to take on and off. The Swiss-made automatic movement is powered by the natural movements of the wearer's arm, thanks to the eccentric weight or rotor. Additionally, the movement can be manually wound up by screwing the crown. With no movement from the wearer, the movement has a power reserve of 38 hours.

The CPH ST-1 project began in February 2013, with the first prototype showcased during Copenhagen Fashion Week later that year. After several revisions, the final prototype was completed in November 2014. The design research behind the watch draws from a deep fascination with watches and a lifetime of influence from minimalistic Scandinavian design.

The CPH ST-1 watch has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2015. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate exceptional expertise, innovation, and artistic skill. The CPH ST-1 stands out for its technical characteristics and remarkable level of excellence, evoking positive feelings and wonder.
